National TSA Week Proclamation
Technology and engineering education today has an increasingly important role in preparing students for life and work in our constantly changing world. Technology and engineering education capitalizes on the individual's potential for reasoning and problem solving, for imagining and creating, and for constructing and expressing through the use of tools and materials related to technology. It develops content and experiences that contribute to the growth and development of students, commensurate with their potential. Technology and engineering education is a fundamental area of study for young people as they explore career and higher education opportunities.
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is an integral component of any technology education program. TSA's mission is to promote leadership and personal growth for its members in a technological society. TSA prepares students to meet the challenges of the future. In addition, students learn civic responsibility and explore career opportunities. They are involved in activities that continuously motivate them to do their very best. TSA is supported by educators, parents, and business leaders who believe in the need for a technologically literate society. During National TSA Week, October 7-11, 2024, we bring recognition to the only national student organization whose purpose is to provide opportunity, knowledge, and skills to students who have made a commitment to technology and engineering through their affiliation with TSA.
