Are you thinking about attending the 2026 National TSA Conference?

Yes. The conference features 37 middle school and 40 high school competitions. Approximately half of the competitive events do not require prior approval from the state advisor. 

The Competition Eligibility Chart indicates the number of individuals or teams per chapter, or per state, allowed to compete in each event. For events designated as per state, the competing individuals or teams are identified by the state advisor. For events designated as per chapter, the competing individuals or teams are identified by the chapter advisor.  

Yes, your chapter members* may attend and compete at the conference. If you (the chapter advisor) are unable to attend, you must designate another adult (for example, another teacher or a parent) to attend and serve as the acting chapter advisor during the conference. You must email Maria Raza before submitting your chapter registration if another adult will be serving as the acting chapter advisor. If you do not plan to attend the conference, do not add yourself to the registration. 

You must also ensure that the acting advisor has copies of all required forms, competition schedules, and other necessary conference information. 

Chapter advisors—including adults serving as acting advisors for conference purposes—must be familiar with the responsibilities and duties of a conference advisor and must fulfill those responsibilities during the conference. 

*Note: All chapter members or other minors attending the conference must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. 

Chapter members who attend the conference must be registered for the conference, but they are not required to compete. However, participating in competitions is a great way for students to experience one of the highlights of the conference. 

Chapter members must be registered by the school-year advisor.

A parent may serve as a chapter advisor during the conference. This substitution must be arranged by the school-year advisor and indicated in a chapter’s conference registration.

Hotel rooms must be reserved according to the information provided on the conference hotel page. 

Conference attendees are responsible for all travel, lodging, meals, and incidental expenses/costs. National TSA does not pay for or reimburse any conference attendee expenses. 

A list of competitive events open for viewing will be available closer to the conference. During viewing, spectators must follow audience guidelines established by each event coordinator and must always be respectful of the individuals and teams competing.
