NEW IN 2023
Competitors and their coaches must register by May 15th
and will receive complimentary items – a TSA conference
t-shirt, TSA conference pin, TSA lanyard, and drawstring backpack. These complimentary items apply to all others who
register by June 2nd. Anyone who registers June 3rd or
after will receive the TSA lanyard only. A TSA name badge/
lanyard is required to be worn at all
times.
ATTENDANCE AT THE CONFERENCE
The TSA, Inc. Board of Directors requires a minimum of
one adult coach or chaperone for no more than ten
student participants. All adult coaches and/or chaperones
must register for the national TEAMS competitions, pay the registration fee,
and be in attendance for the duration of the national competitions.
There are no restrictions regarding the number of adult coaches and chaperones who may attend. All teachers,
parents, supervisors, and teacher-educators are eligible to
serve in the capacity of chaperone.
In order to attend and/or compete at the National TEAMS Competitions, all student participants, including those who
are 18 years of age (as well as graduates of the current
school year) are required to attend the conference with a coach, parent, or adult chaperone.
A student member must meet the criteria listed below to
be eligible to attend the national conference.
- Have the approval of the TEAMS coach and their school administration.
- Have the written approval of a parent or guardian, via
the signed Parent Authorization Form.
- Be in attendance throughout the duration of the
national TEAMS competitions.
CONFERENCE EXPENSES
TSA is a non-profit organization. The competition registration fees are predetermined based upon an analysis
of all expenditures necessary to make the national TEAMS competitions a worthwhile and positive experience for all
who attend. Competition registration fees cover various
expense categories, including competition supplies, such
as ID badges, ribbons, and competition awards
(trophies, certificates, etc.); competition special events and
facilities; and other
related expenses, such as insurance and security.
WHO MUST REGISTER?
Anyone who attends the 2023 National TEAMS Competitions must register, including parents, children, and any other guests. Throughout the competitions, volunteer hosts check the name badges of all attendees. There will be no admittance to any event, including the awards ceremony on July 2nd, without a name badge.
