The 2021 National TSA Conference will only be held virtually due to Covid-19. Meaning, there will not be an in-person conference in Orlando this June.
This decision was not made lightly, knowing how valuable and significant an in-person conference experience can be. National TSA’s top priority is the health and safety of all members, advisors, parents, volunteers, and staff, and the decision to only hold a virtual conference was made with this in mind.
Covid-19 is still present in all 50 states at varying levels. With so much unknown about the future of the virus and its impact on gatherings, it is impossible to predict whether it will be safe to bring people from across the country physically together in one place in six months — or plan for an event that requires in-person attendance. Moving forward, national TSA’s efforts will focus on ensuring an outstanding first-ever virtual only conference that fully embraces the 2021 conference theme, Together Towards Tomorrow.
“The safety and well-being of everyone in TSA is our top priority, and we will not compromise on that value,” said TSA, Inc. Board of Directors President, Mrs. Mimi Leonard. “We are so proud of everything our members and advisors have achieved this year, and we look forward to celebrating these accomplishments in a connected and safe environment. Conference attendance involves early and thorough preparation. Announcing the decision to hold a virtual conference now will allow local chapters and state delegations the time they need to prepare for a productive and rewarding virtual national experience.”
More information will be available in the coming weeks on TSA’s website and will include specifics on competition timelines, the virtual conference platform, online registration, general sessions, and the virtual election of the 2021-2022 National TSA Officers.
Virtual competition rules for middle and high school events are available now to affiliated chapters via Total TSA, and accessible through the TSA membership system. Files are found under Competitions – High School and Competitions – Middle School.

Questions about state delegation conferences should be directed to state advisors, as each state delegation makes their own decision as to how their state conference is held.
