TSA is proud to announce that SAYWIRE is the official online social learning network of choice. Saywire provides a platform to share knowledge through safe social technology that encourages collaboration, personalized learning and communication. In this private network, TSA advisors and members from across the country can share ideas, work on projects, and/or prepare for competitions in one dynamic online environment.
Activity on Saywire is safe because of permission based controls and settings. No one from the general public may enter Saywire. Only registered TSA advisors and members will populate our network. You will always know who you are communicating with in Saywire. No content provided on the Saywire network will ever be viewed by the general public. TSA advisors and members are participating in a safe, secure private online community.
Collaborative learning is made fun through innovative technology. With project pages, profiles, blogs, wikis, chats, calendars, multimedia gallery, help wall and so much more at your fingertips, you can power your TSA experience through a new dimension.
Chapter Advisors – You will receive a Welcome Packet Email directly from Saywire which will include simple instructions from activating your student members to learning everything you need to know about Saywire.
• Your general chapter information, including roster, will be provided to Saywire by national TSA.
• Once Saywire has initialized your chapter in their database, you will be sent your Welcome Packet email.
• You will need to alert your students that they are eligible to log into Saywire for the first time to activate their accounts. You will need to provide your members with the Saywire connection instructions required for initial entry. This one time process allows members to create a username and password for future use. The information for this one time initial log in process is specific to TSA. You must have the Connection Instructions to gain access. Connection Instructions will be included in your Welcome Packet. Advisors receive a free advisor membership which will be activated by logging in for the first time.
• Begin to use SAYWIRE and start to connect with all TSA advisors and members.
• Should you need help navigating the Saywire program, contact Saywire to participate in a free training webinar.
Student Members
• All TSA members must first secure parental/guardian permission to use the Saywire software services. Verifiable parental/guardian permission will be provided through payment. Your chapter advisor will give you Connection Instructions which will allow you to activate your Saywire membership. If you are 12 and younger, you will need to have your parent log in with you, so they may grant their permission for you to use this program. Download the Parental Permission Form, complete and forward to Saywire. If you are 13 and older, you may log in once you receive notification from your advisor that your chapter has been activated and you have approval from your parents.
• Go to www.saywire.com. Click on the TSA tab; activate your membership by following the instructions provided. TO GET STARTED, either at the top or the bottom of this page click on SIGN UP NOW. Activate your membership by exactly following the Connection Instructions provided to you by your chapter advisor. This one time process allows you to create your username and password for future use. The information for this one time initial login process is specific to TSA. You must have the Connection Instructions to gain access.
• There is an annual school year (September 1 – July 31) subscription fee of $10 for every student member to participate in this private network, payable by online credit card or by sending a check to Saywire. Once you have activated your Saywire membership, you may guide your parents to the Saywire store to purchase your subscription via an on-line credit card payment. Or, you may download the Mail-in Payment Form and pay for your subscription via a check by mail, whichever your parents prefer.
Parents
• Saywire is a closed application. Only TSA members and leaders have access to use it. Children can not send or receive any information to or from any parties outside of the TSA network. Saywire is not open or available to the public in any way. The general public can never view or have access to any information posted on our site. Our security controls are twice as safe as online banking. In spite of all of our security and safety measures, the law still requires us to have your permission before your child may participate in this program.

Students 12 and Under - Permission must be granted before your student will be allowed to log in for the first time. With an email address, you may follow the online instructions with your child. This is the fastest method to activate your child’s membership. Should you not have an email address or prefer to sign a hard copy, you may do so and either mail or fax it to Saywire. Simply download the Parental Permission Form link to facilitate this process.
Students 13 and Over – Permission may be granted at the same time the subscription fee is purchased. You will find the permission incorporated right into the payment procedure. You will be able to provide your authorization online or by downloading, printing and mailing a hard copy form, whichever scenario is more preferable to you.
