Accommodations

1200 sleeping rooms are available to TSA on a first come, first served basis. To secure the TSA sleeping room rate reservations must be made prior to Monday, May 30, 2011.  900 of these 1200 sleeping rooms have two queen beds. 

The daily rate is $179 plus tax for a single, double, triple, quad sleeping room. This daily rate includes a $10 per room per day resort fee which includes complimentary high-speed Internet access, local and 1-800 telephone calls (first 20 minutes), daily newspaper, designated complimentary in-room non-alcoholic beverages, fitness center access, and local shuttle service. Rooms also have CD players, refrigerators, complimentary premium cable television channels, in-room safes, built-in laptop and cell-phone recharging capabilities, and two multi-line phones, including one cordless phone.  All guestrooms at the Gaylord Texan Resort have a Southwestern décor, views of the interior atrium or the hotel grounds, and are nonsmoking.

Airport Transportation

The Gaylord Texan is six minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) airport. Super Shuttle service ($12 to or from the airport) is available for your convenience. For information about the service, or to make an advance reservation (recommended), call Super Shuttle at 1-800/258-3826 or book online (http://www.supershuttle.com/). Upon arrival at the airport use the phones in Baggage Claim to notify Super Shuttle you are ready for pickup. [Just an FYI: For returning to the airport on Sunday, please note that Super Shuttle service is available daily between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from the front drive of the hotel. Departure for the DFW airport is every 20 minutes, beginning on the hour.]

Parking

Valet parking: $24 per day plus tax for overnight guest
Self parking: $12 per day plus tax for overnight guest
Bus parking is $75 per night in a lot at the corner of Turner Rd & Texan Trail (Ruth Wall) on the Gaylord Texan Resort property.  

A Green / Sustainable Property

The Gaylord Texan Resort property participates in California Green Lodging Program, a third-party certification program that has been independently certified. Third-party certification measures the property’s impact on one or more of the following: environment, community, cultural-heritage, and the local economy.  The hotel is currently working to attain "Silver" certification from the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program.

Local Shuttle

Scheduled complimentary full coach bus shuttle service is available to the nearby Grapevine Mills Outlet Mall.  There is a small surcharge for shuttle service to downtown Grapevine.  Historic downtown Grapevine features specialty shops, restaurants, tea rooms, the Grapevine Historical Museum, and the depot for the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

Recreation

Water skiing, personal watercraft, pontoon boats, fishing, and other water activities are available at Silver Lake Marina, a half-mile from the hotel for a surcharge. One mile away is the Cowboys Golf Club which has an 18-hole course and a clubhouse with a sports restaurant and pro shop. The hotel provides scheduled shuttle service (surcharge) to both locations.
